ABOUT THE
Program
The Master of Philosophy understands that the nature of philosophy, as an autonomous field of knowledge and knowledge, is defined according to its own philosophical que-doing. Consequently, thinking today about the nature of philosophy as knowledge and as a practice forces us to look at the past in which this knowledge arose, as well as the history that belongs to it, but also to the current problems that afflict contemporary societies, especially Latin American ones. Hence, the program adopts an approach that incorporates both reflection on the history of philosophy and discussion on philosophical research problems relevant to our contemporary life, especially within the framework of its three lines of deepening: Political Philosophy and Law, Philosophy and Literature and Philosophy and Technoscience.
Our program strives to revive the above in all its activities, while opening philosophical reflection to the necessary dialogue with other areas of knowledge, dialogue without which the same philosophical reflection is not possible.

The Master's Degree in Philosophy is aimed at both professionals in philosophy and professionals from any other area of knowledge. For this reason, the program is designed for any professional who wants to develop, at a postgraduate level, his critical and reflective thinking, applied to local, regional, national, and global problems.
GRADUATE
Profile
The graduate of the Master's program in Philosophy will be a person with a solid integral formation. In this way the graduate will be distinguished by having the ability to:
- Develop forms of critical, complex and interrelational thinking.
- Reflect, theorize and approach the problems examined from an essentially multidisciplinary perspective.
- Develop an active dialogical attitude with worldviews different from your own.
- Understand local, regional and national issues from a cosmopolitan perspective.
- Argue, orally and in writing, their own positions and support them in historical or contemporary philosophical visions
- Investigate philosophical problems, whether disciplinary or interdisciplinary, theoretical or applied, in relation to the lines of deepening of the master's degree.
LABOR
Field
Graduates of the Master's Degree in Philosophy can be linked as professors in educational institutions, especially at secondary and higher levels. A large number of our graduates are professors from public and private universities and colleges in the country. Likewise, the research training received at the master empowers its graduates to continue their postgraduate studies at the doctoral level, with the possibility of accessing the scholarships that these programs usually offer. This same training also enables them to get involved in activities related to research processes, editorials and, in general, in all areas where critical thinking is required. Finally, the practical and interdisciplinary approach allows people with a training different from philosophy to insert themselves into their own fields with a critical and more complex vision compared to what they had before the Master degree.
