Minciencias Classification : B
Research groups and their recognition by Minciencias are strategies to promote the disciplinary development of Nursing through the generation of new knowledge and the consolidation of it. They offer spaces of participation to professors, professionals, and students in the solution of social needs and the development of the profession. The UIS School of Nursing from 2005 created the Research Group GRINFER, which was endorsed by Colciencias and UIS in 2007; participated in the most recent call for the consolidation and measurement of research groups and is currently in category B. This group consists of plant teachers, professorships, and undergraduate and postgraduate students. The group’s research lines are 4: Quality and management in health, health care, disciplinary development and nursing process, training of human talent in health.
