The Genetics Laboratory of Universidad Industrial de Santander seeks to meet the needs of its users by ensuring reliable and timely results, within a framework of total impartiality, confidentiality, and guaranteeing the competence of personnel and the consistent operation of its activities.

It has a management committed to good professional practices, with highly qualified personnel who know and implement the policies and procedures defined by the laboratory, and with technological resources that allow it to achieve the highest quality standards; it promotes processes under the philosophy of risk management, continuous improvement, effectiveness, and efficiency, framed in a Quality Management System under the NTC ISO 9001:2015 and NTC-ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards for the determination of DNA genetic profiles, as well as the other legal and regulatory requirements that govern us.  

As part of its commitment, the laboratory develops research projects in the area of genetics that allow it to identify and contribute to the solution of health problems that affect its community.
