Biochemistry and Microbiology Research Group (GIBIM)
Biochemistry and Microbiology Research Group was founded in August 2004 by Dr. Rodrigo Torres Sáez, professor of the School of Chemistry, and Dr. Claudia Cristina Ortiz López, professor of the School of Microbiology of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). The group is currently integrated by professors in the areas of Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry and Metallurgical Engineering.
We are a group belonging to the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) – Colombia, characterized by its interdisciplinary composition. The GIBIM is recognized by MINCIENCIAS as a research group in category A1.
