The Biochemistry and Microbiology Research Group was founded in August 2004 by Dr. Rodrigo Torres Sáez, professor at the School of Chemistry, and Dr. Claudia Cristina Ortiz López, professor at the School of Microbiology at the Industrial University of Santander. We are an interdisciplinary research group affiliated with the Industrial University of Santander – Colombia. Currently, the group consists of professors and students from the fields of Microbiology, Chemistry, and Metallurgical Engineering.
