Geomatics has become a reference group for research and outreach in the region, due to the legacy of its excellent and constant work. Its main objective is to provide concrete solutions to specific problems in different sectors of Colombian society. In this sense, the group has participated in projects that contribute to the development of the central-eastern region of the country, promoting innovation and the application of new technologies in the management, analysis and distribution of geospatial data required in decision-making processes. Geomatics has directed about 250 undergraduate projects and carried out more than 30 scientific and technological consultations to public sector entities.
