ABOUT THE
Program
The Introductory Level is a non-formal education program at the pre-university level aimed at providing academic training in fundamental areas, fostering critical and analytical thinking, and instilling a strong sense of responsibility in prospective students of the academic programs offered at the Regional UIS campuses, including Barbosa, Barrancabermeja, Málaga, and Socorro.
The program’s purpose is grounded in the principles of comprehensive training, creative development, autonomous learning, and collaborative work. It seeks to consolidate study habits, learning techniques, and strategies that enhance student performance in university education.

Cost
.
The registration fee is 3% of a current legal monthly minimum wage (1 SMMLV) approximate to the nearest unit of one thousand.
The value of the tuition fee (pecuniary rights) is a legal monthly minimum wage in force. (1 SMMLV).

Explanatory
Notes
.
The Introductory Level is a program at the pre-university level, approved by the Academic Council of the UIS according to Agreement 245 of 2006. In the aforementioned Agreement it is established in Article 4 that "It is an essential requirement, to enroll in a face-to-face undergraduate program at the Regional Headquarters of the Industrial University of Santander, to have passed all the subjects, the seminar and the complementary activities of the Introductory Level with a minimum grade of three points zero (3.0) - Paragraph 1: Applicants who have a weighted average of the Introductory Level greater than or equal to the minimum may enroll in first and second option in the admission process for face-to-face undergraduate programs at the Regional Headquarters of the UIS. -Paragraph No 2 ° The validity of the Introductory Level is three (3) years " and Paragraph 3 ° (Included by the Agreement of the Academic Council No. 201 of September 29, 2009) where it is indicated that "The student who has enrolled in an academic program in any of the headquarters of the UIS, and is immersed in any of the following circumstances: low academic performance (P.F.U), non-renewal of enrollment within the deadlines indicated by the regulations of the UIS, or cancellation of the semester, may only be submitted to another academic program at the main headquarters of Bucaramanga, fulfilling the admission process contemplated in the current regulations. "
Once the above requirements have been met, any person interested in participating in the admission process to the face-to-face undergraduate academic programs offered by the Universidad Industrial de Santander, must meet the following requirements:
- Have a bachelor's degree, or its equivalent abroad, or be in the eleventh grade of Colombian secondary education.
- Have passed the Introductory Level at the Regional Headquarters where you are going to register. The validity of the Introductory Level is three years.
- Have presented the State Exam of Secondary Education, know 11°.
- Certify a minimum score of (thirty-one) 31 points in each of the areas that make up the Exam, that is: Mathematics, Criticism, Social and Citizenship, Natural Sciences and English.
Additional criteria:
In case of a tie on the cut-off line, the following criteria will be applied in strict order:
a) Qualification of the subject of Mathematics, taken at the introductory level
b) Qualification of the subject of Physics taken at the introductory level
c) Qualification of the subject Chemistry taken at the introductory level
d) If the tie occurs between candidates whose ages make them legally able to exercise the right to vote, the quota will be assigned to the candidate who has exercised that right in the votes immediately prior to the date of registration for the admission process, according to the provisions of numeral 1, of article 2 of Law 403 of August 27, 1997, by which incentives are established for If any of the candidates is not of age to exercise the right to vote, this criterion will not be taken into account.
e) The quota will be assigned in the order of registration generated by the system, according to the consecutive number assigned for that purpose.
INFORMATION FOR
Applicants

The contact details that you register in the registration, become the means through which the University will communicate with you, if necessary. We appreciate that the data is true, current and proprietary. Once this information is registered, you will be assigned a registration number and you can print the respective certificate, which will be sent to the email registered by the applicant. Remember that the information provided in your registration once accepted, you can not modify it.
If you do not have your registration certificate, it will be understood that you did not carry out the process correctly, even if you had made the payment of the registration, therefore, you will not participate in the selection process If you make more than one registration, all will be canceled. In no case will the amount paid as registration be refunded.

ANY FALSE INFORMATION OR OMISSION IS GROUNDS FOR CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION.
The applicant will provide, under his responsibility and gravity of oath, the complete, accurate and truthful information requested by the UIS for the registration process of registration as an applicant to any of the face-to-face undergraduate academic programs offered by the Institution. (Article 2, Agreement 222 of September 16, 2014 of the Academic Council).

One business day after having made the payment of the REGISTRATION AND PECUNIARY RIGHTS corresponding to the Introductory Level, you must legalize the registration and academic enrollment by entering the Registration Link, and Make Registration, Accept terms of handling personal data, Continue Registration and click on Other Payments. Note: Registration fee and pecuniary fees are not refundable for any reason. |
