Minciencias Classification : A1
The Research Group in Computed Tomography for Reservoir Characterization (GIT) aims to develop and apply technologies such as computed tomography, digital rock physics (digital rocks), nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, geothermal energy, hydrogen (white, green), CO₂ capture, storage and utilization (CCUS), sustainable circular economy, electromagnetic heating, smart water, and energy efficiency, among others. These efforts are oriented toward identifying alternatives that support decision-making processes for solving problems in the energy industry and improving the efficiency of technological development processes associated with Basin Analysis, IOR–EOR technologies, and Sustainable Energy Resources.
